But if I only get one, than I would have to say the day we had a snow day because of a blizzard and I made it rain inside... That day will always be one to remember... read more . I am now currently living in Armidale where I am the Youth and Young Adults Pastor of Armidale City Church. Matthew Thompson || DCLP 2013-'15, Staff 2015-'16 From Northern Ireland   My favorite NYC memory is working in Harlem. While I was in the Leadership Program I learned to find time to rest and fill up in a chaotic fast-paced city + how important daily time with God is for ministry and life in general.   What am I doing now? I'm working freelance, writing books and podcasting (+being married to the lovely Jaci.)    https://matthewthompson.org https://bestofbelfast.org

My favorite NYC memory

What am I up to now? I'm on staff at the Dream Center NYC as our Creatives Director!

Shelby Galles || DCLP 2015-'17 From Redding, CA My favorite NYC memory takes place at the beach in the Summer of my first year in DCLP. We were living with Metro World Child Ministries; in Brooklyn, so the trip wasn't as far to Far Rockaway as it would be now. Our entire team of staff, and students had a fun day in the sun with swimming, body surfing, volleyball, sand castles, just every beach activity imaginable - we had achieved it that day! By the end of the day most everyone was burned and exhausted (some more than others), but that beach day holds a lot of fond memories and inside jokes that are sometimes retold to this day! Jesus is and will forever be my favorite thing "Learned" while in the Leadership Program. He brought me to DCLP & used it as a platform to show me His goodness, His faithfulness, & His Love. All actions He's been doing for me even before time, but it wasn't until He took me from my home, my hurts, my comfort zones, that I was able to recognize them & fully receive them. He's grown me & is growing me still to be His perfect design : who I am meant to be. So all around my favorite thing learned and grown in is Jesus & His love for me.   Now I am on staff with the Dream Center NYC!

Triston Jones || DCLP 2016-'17 From West Monroe, Louisiana My favorite NYC memories come from visit one of my RA clients. When I first met him he was very quiet and shy. I didn't know much about him or his life. I visited him every Thursday for months and eventually we developed an amazing friendship. One day he sat with me and told me his whole life story, and that was when I knew that everything I had been to New York for was worth it. Creating that relationship with him and him being comfortable enough with me to tell me about his life was by far my favorite moment!   Now I am pursuing school and ministry. I help run our coffee shop, as well as help out with worship and youth in my church back home. I will be starting nursing school in the spring to become a nurse to use that for medical missions!
